Last year I was contacted by a lovely gal named Kate who was creating a new, high-end wedding inspiration website called H&H Weddings (H&H stands for Hers & Hers, and His & His). Since I am all about LOVE is LOVE, equality, who am I to judge who you love, and all that goodness, I said, "Sign me up!" She invited me to take part in an inspiration shoot taking place in New York, shot by the amazing Jen Huang. Kate had some great ideas for the suite involving trees and wood, but really didn't set any boundaries (which you know I looooove), so I came up with the suite shown below. The coaster and invitation were engraved on wood... mmmm! In today's feature, they say: "Lindsay of Paper Bloom Studio is one of those fabulous people that makes you want to get married, just so she can create something amazing for you. We had the pleasure of working with her on one of our inspiration shoots and she could not have been more wonderful! We asked her to tell us a bit about what she does and why she does it." Once upon a time, I received an email from a woman named Brittany Lauren. She was a Portland photographer looking for a designer to help create a new logo and identity for her up-and-coming business. She had seen my invitation designs, but didn't realize I designed logos as well. We set up a coffee date, and from the second I saw her– feather earrings and off the shoulder top– I was excited, but felt a little intimidated. Ok, A LOT intimidated. She was outgoing, friendly, likable and cool without even trying. It just came to her naturally to be awesome. And she was talented, and SMART! So she needed a killer logo to really show all these traits and more. No pressure, right?! Thankfully she had some great ideas and a good idea of what she wanted, so together we created something really awesome that suited her and her photography business perfectly. I'm really proud of the elements she has created on her own using the brand we created, too. Be sure to fan her on Facebook to keep up to date with her gorgeous photography!
